On November 19 we had the big event called “Indien-Abend”, the presentation of our journey to India. The ENSA students talked about their heart-felt impressions. The teachers Kathrin Haase, Geka Eser, Hedda Freese and Edda Herrmann-Scheefe told everybody about the moving visit to Porur, about the work of the “WE Group” and of Father Suresh at CRDS, the journey to Ooty and the inauguration of the boarding at St. Joseph`s and about all the touristic places we saw. Furthermore, the visitors could taste some Indian food (“not too spicy”) and buy some things at our basar. One big attraction were the nice bags we took home. Everybody seems to like the design of the bags. We almost sold half of them already!
Mrs. Eser thanked Dr. Johannes Mispagel for organizing the trip and for sharing “his” India with all of us. On behalf of the group, she presented him with a bouquet of flowers. Dr. Mispagel then stressed the need of further financial support on one hand and the importance of the good work done in India on the other hand. He said: “There are always two sides: One that is giving and one that is receiving – and both are equally important.”
